Ah, Edmund Zar-Zar Bargblor ,—what a legend! Here we are, celebrating a man who has somehow managed to combine the sleeplessness of an insomniac and academic with the ambition of a political titan. At 70, he’s not just any ordinary human being; he’s a mythological creature that roams the halls of academia and politics , spouting wisdom. From Israel to the land of the Yankees,  Howard University, Washington, D.C, and Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel., Edmund keeps deeping his hand into the cookie jar of knowledge.

The accolades are endless and frankly, exhausting. They say he can debate circles around anyone, while simultaneously writing an academic paper or solving Mathematics Problems  and still find time to update his social media followers on his  insomnia-induced revelations and thoughts . It’s almost as if he cannot look away from the chaos of the current world order. At 70, he hasn’t slowed down one bit; in fact, some argue he seems to gain energy from the very act of not sleeping. One could argue that the secret to his longevity lies in his refusal to acknowledge the concept of “rest”—a man of action who believes that sleep is for the weak and naps are for the fainthearted.

Let’s peel back the layers and take a good look at the man behind the myth, shall we? Bargblor is not merely a name; it’s a brand in Liberia  and Providence, Rhode Island, a royal in Bargblor town, and apparently, a king waiting to happen. His life reads like a soap opera script, filled with plot twists, political rivalries, and enough academic works to launch a thousand think pieces. From his humble beginnings as the deputy managing director of the Liberia Port Authority to becoming a titan of academia and a powerhouse in the political arena, his journey is one for the history books—or at least, a footnote in a very long dissertation. How he survived the civil wars is for another piece.

The Juggernaut at 70

And now, we arrive at the grand milestone: 70 years of Edmund Zar-Zar Bargblor—the political and academic juggernaut who refuses to be defined by age or societal expectations. At this stage in life, many might consider retirement, long walks on the beach, or perhaps indulging in the classic pastime of napping. Not Edmund. Instead, he’s ramping up his efforts, trying to dive headfirst into yet another Liberian project  He is earnestly waiting for the matching order and as usual ,ready to hug his wife and the children, pack his bag to serve motherland again. It is innate because he is altruistic to a fault.

While we raise our glasses to toast this remarkable milestone, we can’t help but wonder what the next chapter holds for our beloved and altruistic academic. Will he continue to teach Mathematics in retirement? Will he pen that long-awaited memoir—Edmund Zar-Zar Bargblor , the Mathematician , A synopsis of my Journey ”? Will he return to Liberia to serve ? Will he finally discover the beauty of a good night’s sleep? Only time will tell. But one thing is for certain: because the burning desire to change the world runs in his blood, Edmund Zar-Zar Bargblor will continue to be the man, the myth, the juggernaut we’ve all come to admire—or potentially envy—for his relentless spirit and balanced rendition of thoughts to national and international discourse. Cheers to you, sir! May your fountain pen continue to flow.

You’re an inspiration and a blessing to  many people who have crossed path with you, and it’s been a pleasure celebrating your 70th year on this earth. May your day be filled with love, joy, lots and plots of good surprises!

Congratulations Mr. Edmund Zar-Zar Bargblor of Bargblor town , Liberia and Providence City, Rhode Island , USA
