The Planners of the Weah Step down Demonstration Are Guilty of Treason

Anyone that promotes and demands the Weah-led Government of Liberia to stepdown prior to completing its constitutional term and fulfilling its mandate is guilty of Treason. Penal Law-Vol IV-Title-26- Liberian Code of Law Revised, § 11.1 (d)-(e) Approved 1976 and Published 1978

National Patriotic Front of Liberia

 To desperately conquer and acquire state power at the disadvantage of the people of Liberia and at all cost in Liberia, the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP)/“Save The State”, is naïvely and dangerously doing business with the devil in the name of Liberia and the people of Liberia. In Liberia, nearly everyone somewhat knows too well that Mr. Benoni Welfred Urey, Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine, Senator Sando Johnson, Oscar Cooper and key members of the Military High Command and Fighting Forces of the National Patriotic Front of Liberia (the NPFL) from top to bottom, looted Liberia and murdered nearly 300,000 unarmed Liberians and residents of Liberia (1989-2003) with impunity. Why trust the CPP with Power in Liberia? Liberia and our people are undeveloped and 100 years backward today because of Liberia’s warring factions, led by the NPFL and their fighting forces that looted and destroyed Liberia with total and absolute impunity.

Urey and Brumskine Involvement

December 24, 1989-August 22, 2003, Mr. Benoni Wilfred Urey and nearly all the Urey brothers were key and major supporters of Mr. Charles G. Taylor and the National Patriotic Front of Liberia (NPFL). Due to the major role and advice that Mr. Benoni Wilfred Urey gave to Mr. Charles G. Taylor, the NPFL and what Mr. Urey did for the fighting forces of the NPFL comprising of innocent young Liberian men and women and underage children many of whom lost their lives to distribute power and wealth to key players and supporters of the NPFL, Mr. Benoni Wilfred Urey, Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine and other big guns of the NPFL landed healthy and influential jobs in Liberia (1997-2005). Counsellor Charles Walker Brumskine was handpicked and imposed on Liberia's wartime Senate as President Pro-Tempt. And due to his closeness to Mr. Charles G. Taylor and the political and military high command of the NPFL, Mr. Benoni Wilfred Urey, once a highly improvised and jobless man in his community (Careysburg District), Liberia, he was swiftly named, nominated and commissioned as Commissioner, Liberia Maritime Affairs (LMA) with the rights to publicly collude with Mr. Charles G. Taylor and other key people of the NPFL to loot Liberia’s revenues and resources.

Economic Sabotage

As Commissioner and Chief of the LMA, Mr. Benoni Wilfred Urey over and beyond the demand and requirement of the Laws of Liberia, purportedly received, took, stole and converted a large sum of Liberia's revenues and resources to himself and Mr. Charles G. Taylor’s private and personal use and benefit and the benefit of their households and families, shamelessly. As reported by countless local and international news outlets, Mr. Benoni Wilfred Urey took on and played the role of transporting guns to Sierra Leone in exchange for blood diamonds excavated in Sierra Leone to support and to sustain Mr. Charles G. Taylor and the NPP-led Government. On the other hand, while Mr. Benoni Wilfred Urey made himself busy trafficking big and small guns into Sierra Leone in exchange for blood diamonds for the common use and benefit of Mr. Charles G. Taylor and himself, Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine and other so-called distinguishable corporate lawyers wrote the Articles of Incorporation to empower Oriental Timber Company (OTC), a wholly criminal-minded foreign company to run through the forests of Grand Bassa, Rivercess and Sinoe Counties cutting down everything that resembles live trees to support and sustain Mr. Charles G. Taylor, his household and the political and Military High Command of the NPFL, the murderous group of evil and depraved-minded Liberians. Publicly, the NPFL and its leadership targeted, tortured, raped and murdered nearly 300,000 Liberians and residents in Liberia (1989-2003). Mr. Urey, Cllr Brumskine and key associates of the NPFL knowingly and intentionally committed Economic and Financial Crimes in Liberia (1989-2003).

If anything, Mr. Charles G. Taylor in association with Mr. Benoni Wilfred Urey, Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine, Sando D. Johnson, Oscar Cooper and the NPFL, depleted Liberia’s forests and destroyed Liberia than redeemed the people of Liberia (about 300,000 Liberians and residents) were targeted and killed. After the NPFL, Mr. Charles G. Taylor and his associates departed Liberia, Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine and Mr. Benoni Wilfred Urey, singlehandedly formed the Liberty Party (LP) and the ALL Liberia Party (ALP); primarily using the illicit wealth both men amassed by cutting down nearly all the trees the NPFL and OTC could find in the jungles of Liberia while Mr. Urey smuggled small and big guns into Sierra Leone in exchange for blood diamonds extracted in Sierra Leone. Formally, Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine and Mr. Benoni Wilfred Urey formed the LP and ALP believing that they too could be elected President of Liberia. After their childlike experiment failed, Cllr. Brumskine and Urey reached out and brought together the Liberty Party, (LP), ALL Liberia Party (ALP), the Unity Party (UP) and Alternative National Congress (ANC), purporting and designating themselves as a group of four major political parties (The CPP). Unsurprisingly, the LP, ALP, UP and ANC, elected Mr. Urey (a man with vast human rights violation record) and purported financial and economic crime, (1989-2003) in Liberia as Chairman of the CPP.

Prior to running to be elected the President of Liberia, Mr. Benoni Wilfred Urey, knowingly, impudently and allegedly looted all the cash he and Mr. Charles G. Taylor could get from Liberia Maritime Affairs (LMA) and the (OTC) and he Urey and Mr. Taylor then formed the Lone Star Telecommunications Company (Lone Star). They both (Mr. Taylor and Urey), jointly and collectively ran Lone Star until Mr. Charles G. Taylor was indicted, arrested, convicted and placed behind bars for abetting War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity (for a total of 50years). After Mr. Taylor was indicted, arrested, prosecuted, convicted and sentenced and Benoni Wilfred Urey, a key members of the Military and Political High Command of the fighting forces of the NPFL happened to be and remained the lone corporate agent and so-called owner of the Lone Star Telecommunication Company. Today having on hand all their looted riches, Benoni Wilfred Urey, Sando Johnson, Oscar Cooper, Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine and key NPFL commanders in and of themselves, have again regrouped and named themselves, Council of Patriots (CoP)/Save the State; with the mandate to threaten Liberia’s peace and security. The incorporation, economic and financial resources of LONE STAR, need to be swiftly investigated.

Friday June 7, 2019, the Council of Patriots (CoP)/Save The State, took to the streets of Liberia and pretended to be demonstrating for democracy, the rule of law, good governance and accountability in Liberia. With their wartime riches, Benoni Wilfred Urey and their foot soldiers planned to again take to the streets of Liberia renaming them and followers, Council of Patriots (CoP) to redeem the people of Liberia, (starting 31 December 2019). Are Sando D. Johnson, Oscar Cooper, Benoni Wilfred Urey, Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine, and the other key NPFL members, Liberia’s new political Jesus Christ to redeem and save the people of Liberia? Having used the NPFL to murder nearly 300,000 Liberians and foreign nationals residing in Liberia and looting Liberia from top to bottom, (1989-2003), are Urey and his associates, Patriots?  What really do Mr. Urey and NPFL-Gurus want?

December Demonstration

The Collaborating Political Parties (The CPP) by and through their Agents (CoP), announced and informed the world that come December 31, 2019, Liberia and the people of Liberia, will be engulfed and overwhelmed by demonstrations covering the streets of Liberia. In essence, Liberia and the people of Liberia will know no peace and celebrate not Jan 1, 2020 (New Year Holiday). Why? The Collaborating Political Parties, (CPP)/CoP and its leadership dubbed, Council of Patriots/Save the State, are set and will forcefully demonstrate and unlawfully and unconstitutionally demand that President George Manneh Weah and his Government of Liberia stepdown and leave Liberia.  And so since the LP, LAP, UPP and ANC didn’t get the chance on July 24, 2019 to disrupt national peace and enjoyment (July 26, 2019), they and their agents are again determined to threaten Liberia’s peace and security, December 31, 2019. It is Treason to demand that President to steps down.

Stepdown Demonstration

Predictably, Liberia’s history (April 14, 1980-August 22, 2003) is replete and has witnessed many lawfully and unlawfully demonstrations that saw the unlawful taking of lives and the destruction in Liberia from top to bottom. Financial and Economic crimes (1989-2003) were the order of the day. First and foremost, Liberia is not Middle East and Liberians are not Arabs.  And so since 1847 to today, Liberia and its people are governed by laws. For all intents and purposes, Liberia has a set of laws known and called Constitution and Statute. Liberia’s Constitution and Statutory Laws of Liberia have set the ways and means by which Liberians are permitted by law to elect and remove their leaders into power and out of power.  Any act or action that violates any provision of Liberia’s Constitution and Statutory Laws as to electing and removing a President and Government of Liberia from power and the presidency, is repugnant, criminal and is Treason could amount to the Crime of Sedition in Liberia.

Treason in Liberia

Consistent with the New Penal Code, Chapter 11, § 11.1 defines Treason against the Republic of Liberia and its people as:

(a)  levying war against the Republic;

(d)  attempting by overt act to overthrow the Government, rebellion against the Republic; insurrection and mutiny; and

Grading. Any person convicted of sedition may be sentenced to imprisonment as provided for in Sections 50.5 and 51.3, or shall be sentenced to prison for 5 years; Penal Law-Title 26-Liberian Code of Laws Revised, Volume IV, Approved July 19, 1976 and Published April 3, 1978.

Consistent Chapter 11, § 11.1 Penal Law- Volume IV-Title-26 of the Liberian Code Revised, Approved July 19, 1976, are the designers and planner of the Weah stepdown demonstration of 31 December 2019, guilty of Treason by demanding that the Weah-led Government elected on December 26, 2017, must stepdown?

And if so may the designers and planners of the December 31, 2019 Weah stepdown demonstration be immediately indicted, arrested, imprisoned and prosecuted for knowingly and intentionally committing the crime of Treason against the Republic?

Discussion

Whether those who designing and planning the demonstration on 31 December 2019 to demonstrate and demand that President George Manneh Weah and his elected Government of Liberia stepdown and give way to a government not elected by the people of Liberia know and appreciate their action or not, they are collectively and separately guilty of Treason by taking to the streets of Liberia and demanding that the President Weah and his elected Government to stepdown. By law and under Chapter 11, § 11.1 of the Penal Law-Volume IV-Title-26-Liberian Code of Laws Revised, the planners and designers of the infamous December 31, 2019 Weah-Stepdown demonstration are guilty of Treason. Treason is a first degree felony and they could be sentenced to prison for 25 years for recklessly taking to the streets of Liberia and demanding that President George Manneh Weah and his Government, (the elected Government of Liberia), to stepdown, depart Liberia, and give way to a government not elected in Liberia.  In Liberia, a person is guilty of the crime of Treason by violating any of the foregoing principle of law, particularly Chapter 11, § 11.1 (d) and (e) of the Penal Law-Volume IV-Title-26, Liberia Code of Laws Revised, Approved 1976 and Published in 1978.

§ 11.1 Treason, for all intents and purposes is committed in Liberia by:

(a)  levying war against the Republic;

(b) aligning oneself with or aiding and abetting another nation or people with whom Liberia is at war or in a state of war;

(c) acts of espionage for an enemy state;

(d) attempting by overt act to overthrow the Government, rebellion against the Republic; insurrection and mutiny; and

(e) Abrogating or attempting to abrogate, subverting or attempting to subvert or conspiring to subvert the Constitution by use of force, show of force or by any other means which attempts to undermine the Constitution of Liberia.

Whether knowingly or unknowingly, the designers and planners of the Weah Stepdown of December 31, 2019 demonstration and demand that President Weah and his elected Government of Liberia stepdown without completing his first 6 years as the President of Liberia, are guilty of Treason in Liberia.

If the Government of Liberia should choose otherwise, it could indict arrest, prosecute and sentence the planners and designers of the 31 December 2019 Weah Stepdown demonstration with the Crime of Sedition because the act and action also make them and associates equally guilty of the Crime Sedition.

Absolutely, Liberia and the people of Liberia have traveled this irresponsible and unconstitutional road before. Liberians must standup against all unlawful actions.
